Jim Ryan regrets Sony failed to meet demand for PlayStation 5

July 28th Sony reported, what Playstation 5 sold over 10 million copies, making the console the fastest-selling console in the history of the brand.

In an interview Reuters Jim Ryan touched on the PS5 shortage. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO said the company is actively working to address supply issues, but will not be able to meet the needs of players in the near future.

The lack of components and the widespread buying up of PS5 in large quantities for subsequent resale made it very difficult for gamers to obtain consoles. The unprecedented demand for the coveted system, dragging on since launch, is likely to end soon.

“We are releasing consoles faster than ever, and that makes me happy. But on the other hand, it will take a long time until we satisfy all the accumulated demand, which makes me sad, ”says Ryan.
