JBL prepares “eternal” solar-powered headphones – review

Well-known manufacturer of acoustics company Jbl launched fundraising for wireless headphones Reflect Eternalthat run on solar panels.

This allows the new product to automatically recharge from sunlight or artificial light. Headphones can be put on the window, although in this case the charging cycle will be longer, or go out into them.

The manufacturer claims that users need to walk on the street for at least 2.5 hours so that the headphone battery is fully charged. If you reduce the time to one and a half hours, then the operating time will be up to 70 hours. In case of bad weather, there is a more traditional USB charging cable.

Technical parameters include support for Bluetooth 5.0, as well as protection against water according to the IPX4 standard. The battery capacity is 700 mAh. Sound parameters are not specified.

Money is raised at a crowdfunding site Indiegogo. The start of production is scheduled for August 2023, and shipping will begin in October. True, at first only to citizens of the United States and Germany.
