Jason Schreier: Grand Theft Auto VI will be a medium-sized release, supplemented by regular updates

On the site Kotaku a large article appeared about what she was doing Rockstar games after the release of the game Red dead redemption 2. In the article, the author touched on the interior kitchen of the studio and talked about how the criticism from the community influenced it.

Jason Schreyer also mentioned the next Rockstar Games, the sequel to the Grand Theft Auto action series. The journalist said that management has developed the following plan to develop a new part of the series: they want start with release middle size (which by Rockstar standards will still be a big game) and then expand it with regular updates. Say, this will help reduce stress in the ranks of employees and eliminate processing. Apparently, at the start of the game will be less ambitious than Red Dead Redemption II.

However, Schreyer is afraid that when the game is close to release, production will accelerate and the need for processing will reappear. Whether the Rockstar employees will face pressure from the leadership in the future, who decided to complete the ambitious work as soon as possible, the journalist does not know, because Rockstar’s next major project is still at an early stage of development.

Earlier on the network, rumors appeared that Grand Theft Auto VI from Rockstar Games would be released in the fall of 2023.
