It’s success: Capcom revealed the start-up sales of the Resident Evil 3 remake and last year’s total circulation of Resident Evil 2

Company Capcom reported this morning that a remake Resident evil 3 sold out in 2,000,000 copies based on the results of five days from the premiere. This includes deliveries to retailers and direct digital sales.

About 50% of the initial sales are in digital stores – PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam. The rest is disks. This distribution is atypical for Capcom games – retail at the launch of its high-profile novelties has always dominated, but the coronavirus pandemic has made adjustments.

Resident Evil 3 lost start-up sales Resident evil 7 and last year’s remake Resident evil 2but Capcom is pleased with the project debut.

  • Starting sales of Resident Evil 7 – 2,500,000 copies in 4 days.
  • Resident Evil 2 Starter Sales 3,000,000 copies in the first week.

The original version of Resident Evil 3 for the first PlayStation sold over 3,500,000 copies in its entire existence.

Remake of Resident Evil 2, meanwhile, has already reached the bar of 6,500,000 copies sold, Capcom reported today..
