“I’m ashamed to be a Blizzard fan” – players criticized a new patch for Warcraft III: Reforged

Owners of Warcraft III: Reforged criticized Blizzard Entertainment after the release of update 1.32.3. They did not like the fact that the developers ignored requests to add a ladder and personal profiles with statistics, which the game community has been asking for since the release. Instead, the company again fixed bugs in campaigns and made minor cosmetic changes.

After the patch was released, fans immediately compared it to an unsuccessful April Fool’s joke.

“Is this some kind of joke? Just a slap in the face to your customers and fans. Of course, if you still have them. No ladder again? No statistics? This game has turned into trash. You have completely ruined everything. ”

Doug Polk:

“Is this a joke on April 1st? Where the hell is a ladder? How should I play this game without ladder and personal profiles? And you still haven’t solved the problem with ping. Please correct my favorite game so that I can finally enjoy it. ”

“You must have hurried with April Fools’ jokes, because this is just one of them.”

Other users immediately remembered the fan of Warcraft III, who created his own Ladder analog for Reforged. To do this, it took him only a few days.

“The developers are just trolling us. First they break the game, then fix things that nobody cares about, but continue to ignore any requests for key multi-user functions. I am disappointed.

Just watch how a single enthusiast created a ladder for Reforged in just a week! ”

Fans again criticized the volume of patches for Reforged, as well as the fact that the game takes up too much space on the hard drive.

Guziec28:

“And again a 1.6 GB patch. I have a question for administrators, why does this game take up 30 GB? Please tell me what is so special here compared to the 2003 game that it takes up 30 GB? Each patch weighs about 2 GB. You still have a lot of work ahead on bugs, so by the summer the client will weigh about 100 GB. Are you sure that you understand what you are doing? ”

The Battle.net forum replied that Guziec28 made the wrong conclusions about the size of the game after the patches, as new files usually just replace the old ones. Nevertheless, users still consider the 1.6 GB patch to be too large for the minor changes that were made to the game.

lnclnerator4:

“Are you intentionally trying to anger the community by releasing unnecessary updates to the naga?” Do you know that we use this as a meme to describe your worthlessness? It simply amazes the number of stupid changes that were in this patch. And this is at a time when the game has significantly more important problems. You had two months, but you did nothing. I am ashamed to be a fan of Blizzard and Warcraft III. Enough to kill a game created by people who really understood gamers. ”

Note that on the forum and on social networks there were people who positively met the new patch. Basically, they are of the opinion that at least some work is better than complete inaction.

Patch 1.32.3 for Warcraft III: Reforged was released on the night of March 19. Read more about it here.
