High Remake: Comparison of Final Fantasy VII Remake Versions

Remake to be released this week Final Fantasy VII. The network has already appeared comparisons of two available versions of the game: for the base PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.

Publishing house Square enix used a graphics engine as a basis Unreal engine 4 and tried to achieve a stable 30 frames per second while maintaining the visual quality of a high sample. However, it was not without problems: some objects are loaded with a noticeable delay, or if the player’s character runs up to them almost point-blank.

As for resolution, the parameters of the base PS4 vary in the range from 900 to 1080p, and the PS4 Pro – in the region of 1200-1620p. It all depends on the size of a particular location and the intensity of the events on the screen. At the same time, due to the aggressive method of smoothing, the picture turned out to be very neat, although soapy.

Note that if you set the resolution to 1080p in the PS4 Pro settings, you will have to forget about downsampling: FF7 will give out native 1080p, which can be seen from such elements as the hair of characters.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will go on sale on April 10th. She is a temporary exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
