Google Chrome will learn to open closed tabs almost instantly – review

If you close the tab in the current version of Google Chrome, then the data from it is immediately unloaded from memory. Therefore, when it is opened again, the information is loaded from the network, which takes time. A new feature should speed up the process.

Instead of immediately clearing the data, Chrome “freezes” it in the cache for a short time, allowing you to quickly restore the closed tab. This will reduce the time waiting from a few seconds to a few moments.

Developers are now actively working on this feature, but have not yet specified the timing of the release of new items. It is assumed that before the release, at least in the early assembly, a couple of months will pass.

Recall that earlier developers were able to reduce the memory consumption of the browser. Also note that Chrome has already reached 70 percent market share.
