Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and seven more Ubisoft games will soon lose online functionality

Company Ubisoft announced that it will shut down servers for eight of its games May 22, 2023, as a result of which users on all platforms will lose access to their online functionality. The list has appeared on the official forums of the manufacturer.

  • Assassin’s Creed II;
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands;
  • Far Cry 2;
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction;
  • Anno 1404;
  • Might & Magic – Clash of Heroes;
  • Might & Magic 10 – Legacy;
  • The Settlers 7.

This is the first shutdown of Ubisoft game servers since last fall.

Representatives of the publishing house explained the decision by the low demand for the above titles among the audience. Once the servers are shut down, the games will no longer feature Ubisoft Connect, in-game news, online statistics, and online modes. Single-player campaigns will continue to work.

Earlier this week, it became known about the imminent shutdown of the PS Store on PS Vita, PlayStation 3 and PSP
