Exodus will be re-released on PC with a massive improvement in graphics – details – Igromania

4A Games announced an improved edition Metro: Exodus for PC, which will be released separately from the original client – made so many changes that it will require an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card with support for ray tracing to run.

According to the developers, while working on the next gen version of the shooter for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, the team remade so many elements that in the end they decided to re-release the game on a large scale on PC along with a number of innovations.

First, Exodus will run on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 4K at 60 frames per second with ray traced lighting – what’s more, a number of fresh effects from add-ons like ray traced emission lighting will be added to the main campaign.

Also on consoles, they promise 4K textures, fast downloads, the implementation of unique features for each of the systems like the haptic in DualSense. On Xbox Series S, the game is expected to be released at 1080p, but the number of frames per second is still unknown – 30 or 60.

In addition, for the first time in the series, it will be possible to customize the field of view.

Owners of the original will receive an improved version for free – this applies to versions for both consoles and computers (Epic Games Store, Steam, GOG). Metro: Exodus Enhanced Edition will be released in the spring, while nextgen consoles will release the game before the end of the year.

Among the features unique to the PC of the new version of the shooter are improved reflections through ray tracing and support for DLSS 2.0 smart anti-aliasing – otherwise the list of Metro: Exodus features on consoles and PCs is the same.
