Even just running in the background Epic Games Launcher heats up AMD Ryzen processors

Processor owners AMD Ryzen noticed that when running Epic Games Launcher their processor temperature rises even if the program is running in the background. They clearly did not expect this from an application that is only intended to contain the library and run games.

The information is confirmed by many users. For example, one of them noted that on AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU temperature was kept at the level 64 degreesuntil he closed Epic Games Launcher. After that, the heating decreased by 20 degrees… The owner reported the same AMD Ryzen 5 1600

There is currently no solution to this problem, but there are workarounds. So, you can link the Epic Games Launcher to GOG Galaxy and run games through the latter.

The Epic Games Launcher is also reported to be sending 14 times more data in the background than Steam and NVIDIA Experience… This appears to be due to the built-in web browser.
