Eight strongest deleted heroes from Dota

In the history of DotA Allstars, the pool of heroes has been constantly expanding. However, not all characters from the old versions reached the end – they remade part of IceFrog, completely removed the others from the game and replaced them with new ones. However, many of them could be tried out after deletion – the characters were available in the fan tavern.

IceFrog himself added this feature in several 6.1x versions – fan taverns and a special -fun mode allowed you to play as the old Invoker, Techies and Silencer. Since patch 6.16, the developer has abandoned this idea, but fans used the trick in versions of the map with bots. In this post, we have selected eight of the most powerful characters from the fan tavern.

Terran Marine

Terran Marine is one of the most powerful of the imbalanced secret tavern heroes. He had a Stim Pack similar to StarCraft’s marines ability — it took 40% of its health in exchange for attack and movement speed. The second added up to 30 damage and a microbase for 0.3 seconds for each shot – the enemy simply could not reach Terran Marine with a sufficient attack speed. Given that the hero was a dodger, and from a passive skill every 80 shots for any purpose was added per unit of dexterity, he became just a killing machine to the leitgame. All this was backed up by an ultimate, which reduced the attack and run speed, but increased the firing range by 2,500.

Void Demon

Imagine a Night Stalker whose passive ability works at any time of the day. It’s also an aura that makes all allies nearby, including creeps, as fast. Void Demon was the forerunner of the older parts of Balanar and is also remembered by fans as one of the most imbalanced in history. In addition to the passive skill described above, he had a modern Void, only it lasted 5 seconds, another aura that slowed down the speed of attack and movement, and in his case a rather useless interrupted spell like Upheaval in modern Warlock.

Old pudge

Fan taverns also featured the old Pudge – in the original DotA Allstars it was the prototype of the modern butcher and was called Monstrosity. The hero himself was not very strong, but on the other hand, he called from the corpses many units that pulled lines and demolished buildings at the speed of light. The flies from the ultimate were the strongest – their passive ability with 88% dodges distracted the towers, and their active skill allowed them to multiply at an incredible speed. If the old Pudge was not in battle, then every ten seconds he stored up one corpse – they could be thrown away at any time.

Old Silencer

Modern Silencer did not always have the same skills as it does now – before version 6.15 it was completely different. The first and third abilities in the current version of the game belong to Mirana and Warlock. Starstorm was almost no different, but Rain of Chaos from Silencer summoned three golems instead of one from modern Chaotic Offering. The second ability in the chain healed all nearby allies, and the ultimate was a passive skill that silenced for 4 seconds per hit.

Icy Path (QQQ) was similar to the modern Ice Wall, but also dealt damage over time.

Portal (QQW) teleported the enemy to a distance based on Quas and dealt damage based on Wex leveling.

Betrayal (QWQ) stamped the enemy hero, and everyone nearby began to attack him.

Mana Burn (WQQ) burned target’s mana based on Wex level.

Tornado Blast (QWW) – almost like a modern Tornado, but didn’t throw it into the air.

EMP (WQW) was similar to a modern skill, but the mechanics repeated the Blast of Keeper of the Light. That is, Invoker placed a charge that exploded and applied a blinding effect on targets around.

Telelightning (WWQ) helped to quickly move to the enemy and cause him additional damage.

Invoke Shock (WWW) – a wave that dealt damage to enemies and removed positive effects from them.

Frost Nova (QQE) was an enhanced version of Lich’s similar ability.

Power Word (QEQ) added armor to allies and reduced it for opponents.

Chaos Meteor (EQQ) is an analogue of a modern skill, only with less damage.

Shroud of Flames (QEE) – a shield on an ally that increased its magic resistance, and also caused damage to enemies when attacking a target.

Disarm (EQE) – classic Disarm.

Deafening Blast (EEQ) – Like modern Blast, only silences instead of misses.

Firebolt (EEE) – point stun with damage.

Arcane Arts (WWE) is a passive ability that grants magic resistance.

Energy Ball (WEW) – a charge accumulated over Invoker, which then exploded and dealt damage in a radius.

Firestorm (EWW) – like Underlord, only very strong.

Lightning Shield (WEE) – an analogue of the shield in Dark Seer.

Incinerate (EWE) – an interruptible spell that dealt area damage.

Inferno (EEW) is a passive ability that at a random moment creates a wall of fire in front of the hero.

Levitation (QWE) made Invoker invulnerable, but he himself also could not press anything and attack enemies.

Invisibility Aura (QEW) – an aura that gave invisibility to nearby allies. Invoker himself remained visible.

Soul Reaver (EWQ) was similar to modern Demonic Purge, except it didn’t dispel buffs and slowed down by eight seconds.

Confuse (EQW) – an illusion that could not attack and stood still. She gave an overview, including some time after the destruction.

Scout (WEQ) – A bird that replaced the Sentry Ward, but could move.

Soul Blast (WQE) – took health from the enemy and passed it to Invoker. That is, like Bane’s Brain Sap, only the healing depended on the Exort level, and the damage – on the Quas level. Upgrading Wex increased the cast range.
