Dying Light 3? Techland is looking for staff to work on the next big AAA title

At present Techland working hard on Dying Light 2: Stay Human is the sequel to the popular zombie action movie of 2015. The release of the game is scheduled for December, which makes you wonder what the Polish team will work on next. While there are no official details yet, the new vacancies provide a few hints of this.

The first ad that was discovered looking for new employees in the studio is a senior 3D artist vacancy, where the main responsibility is the creation of 3D assets for the “next big title” Techland… The candidate will also need to have extensive experience in working on 3D models especially for AAA-grade projects.

The next vacancy for the position of Senior Quest Designer requires the applicant to have experience working in “open world role-playing games”… The person selected for this position will be responsible for creating narrative quests for the project in the Open-Wolrd RPG genre. The sequel to Dying Light certainly fits that description. but it is safe to assume that most of the storytelling work for Dying Light 2 is nearing completion.

Another important detail from the second vacancy is experience with the Blueprint visual scripting system in Unreal Engine… This is especially interesting since Dying Light 2 is not being developed using toolkits. Epic Games, and on the studio’s own engine called C-EngineIf Techland is looking for developers with knowledge of Unreal, then this may indicate that the next project of the team will be created on the basis of the Unreal Engine.

Dying Light 2 goes on sale 7th December on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series XIS. The game will be shown at Gamescom 2023
