Dragon Quest of the Stars player arrested for threats against Square Enix – Igromania

Saitama Prefecture Toshiyuki Suga, a thirty-nine-year-old office worker, was arrested for sending death threats to Square enix… He reportedly sent 37 such messages during November 2023.

Suga’s frustration was caused by the game. Dragon quest of the stars… And the first message was pretty neutral: “What should I do to win?“. After that, the tone of the messages changed: Suga claimed that he was absolutely ready to kill the one who invented this “trick”.

After his arrest, Suga admitted his guilt and explained his actions by the fact that he could not win in any way. He did not reveal exactly which Dragon Quest of the Stars mission he was stuck on.

This is not the first time that Square Enix has received threats. In the spring of 2019, a 25-year-old gambler was arrested and spent about $ 2,000 but never got the item he wanted. It is not reported exactly what kind of game we are talking about.
In the summer of that year, a forty-year-old man was arrested for promising Square Enix to do what happened to Kyoto Animation… Recall that in 2019, after the studio was set on fire, 36 employees died, another 35 were hospitalized.
