Director of “Rocketman” will remove a remake of “Saint” about Moscow heating technology

Media reports that the director “Rocketman” Dexter Fletcher will stage a remake of the movie “Holy” for Paramount.

The plot is based on a series of novels of the 1920s, based on which in the 60s he released a series, and in 1997 a film with Val Kilmer (“Fight”) in the title role.

The story tells of a gangster and hijacker hired by Simon Templar. Tired of his craft, he decides that the next task will be the last.

He is instructed to get the production technology of the cheapest energy in the world, with the help of which tycoon Ivan Tretyak hopes to subjugate Russia, and then the whole world. The villain’s plan, in particular, included heating a freezing Moscow, whose inhabitants suffered from severe frosts.

It is not clear how much this whole plot will be changed in relation to the modern version. The studio traditionally hopes to turn the picture into a full-fledged franchise. Responsible for the script Seth Graham Smith (“President Lincoln: The Vampire Hunter”).

Among other things, Fletcher is doing for the film “Renfield” (Renfield), dedicated to the servant of Dracula.
