Destiny 2 players resent the transmog system – grind or money? – review addiction

The other day Bungie introduced the long-awaited transmogrification system, which has been requested since the launch of the original Destiny in 2014. However, monetization has received extensive criticism.

In short, the system looks like this: for the destruction of enemies, the Guardians receive synth fibers – for 150 units, they can get a contract from Ada-1 in the Tower to receive synth filaments, which on a loom can then be converted into synth weaving

It sounds unnecessarily confusing, but the main problems begin with restrictions – in one season, players can earn free money only for changing 10 items of equipment or for 2 full sets of armor. In the debut season with the system – for 20 elements or 4 complete sets.

In addition, they will not be allowed to change the appearance of exotic armor, since this may affect the balance – in “Crucible“By the equipment, you can understand what perks the enemy has.

If desired, the entire grind can be bypassed through the store Eververse – changing the full set of armor will take 5 synth-weaves, which will cost 1000 silver coins (719 rubles). One wattle can be taken for 300 coins (about 250 rubles).

The players were expected to be dissatisfied with the system – first of all, for the production of wattle, two more stages must be completed, within which two other currencies must be earned. The community believes that Bungie deliberately made the system tricky enough to encourage direct purchase.

As noted on social networks, the entire developer blog reads as if it was invented by some fan – “how Bungie could screw it up with the introduction of a system to change the appearance of armor.”

All this time I’ve been saying that Bungie will screw up with the transmog, but they’ve managed to screw up so much that even I didn’t expect. I don’t know if I’m disappointed or impressed“.

Some people think that at least instead of fiber you could use glitter – in the game itself, it performs the same task. But no, the developers wanted to introduce several more types of resources.

The system could easily be optimized to one new currency and two steps: spend glitter on contracts to earn wicker or spend silver on wicker“.

The system is so massively criticized that it will be surprising if Bungie doesn’t start making changes to it under the yoke of complaints.
