Denuvo’s opponents win: Square Enix removes anti-piracy protection from Life is Strange: True Colors

Company Square enix cut out anti-piracy protection system Denuvo from the computer version of adventure Life is Strange: True Colors

According to the site SteamDB, DRM removal has occurred 14 september – just four days after release

Officially, the publisher did not comment on the reason for refusing Denuvo, but apparently, it is associated with a lightning-fast hack. The project hit torrent trackers right on the day of release, so there is no further need for DRM anymore

In early September, Square Enix got rid of Denuvo with another game of its own – Marvel’s avengers… Compared to the new part of Life is Strange, “The Avengers” withstood the pressure of hackers for much longer – a whole month and a half.
