David Arquette will return to the role of Sheriff Dewey in the new “Scream” – review

New part Scream replenished with familiar faces – David arquette will play again Dewey Riley in the new franchise.

Arquette’s character was one of the series’ regular characters that appeared in all four previous films. At first, Dewey worked as an assistant to the Sheriff, and by the fourth film he himself became the sheriff of the city of Woodsboro, where the masked maniac returns again.

The directors of the new history are Matthew Bettinelli and Tyler gillett (“I’m going to search”), and the plot itself is kept secret. But given the appearance of Arquette and negotiations with Neve Campbell, it is unlikely that the new film will completely restart the series.

Negotiations, by the way, are also with Courtney Coxwho performed the role of a reporter Gail Weathers.

Screenwriter of the original Scream Kevin Williamson will act as an executive producer, and the plot of the new part will be James Vanderbilt and Guy Busik (“I’m going to search”).
