Dangerous rescheduled for next year – review

Studio Frontier developers announced that it is postponing the release of a future major addition Next era to the space simulator Elite: Dangerous. Despite the fact that the release of the addon was planned only at the end of the year, but the creators decided to postpone it to the beginning of 2023.

The developers admitted that this decision was not easy for them. However, the team recently launched the first beta Fleet carriers and now busy working on the May update, which will be released on consoles. A Fleet Carriers release is due to take place in June.

The coronavirus pandemic was superimposed on the work schedule: the company switched to remote work, which often complicates the process. And, in order not to subject the team to additional threats, the release date of Next Era has been postponed.

Update Next Era called the “new era” of the simulator and should be the largest update in the history of the game. It is designed to significantly expand the gameplay of Elite: Dangerous, adding a lot of new features.
