Cyberpunk 2077 is preparing for release in a “raw” form, compensation for frantic processing is penny – an insider

Online now discussed Polish company CD Projekt RED, which is on the eve of the launch of the role-playing game expected by millions Cyberpunk 2077 switched to a shock working mode – employees need to work about six days a week, trying to ensure that long-term construction is as smooth as possible.

Journalist sharply criticizes the situation Jason Schreier, previously marked by a fight for the rights of developers to fair and honest working conditions. Editor of the gaming department of the publication Bloomberg, referring to his sources, claims that CD Projekt RED employees have been in the harsh overhaul mode for much longer than it seems from the outside, and are suffering.

On the other hand, editors GameInformerrelying on data from their own sources, presented what is happening from the alternative side – the magazine stated that the decision to rework was made collectively, and the extra working hours will be generously compensated for everyone.

Later, an anonymous employee joined the case CD Projekt RED, who tried in a series of posts on the Reddit resource to explain everything that happens from the perspective of a person directly involved in everything “internal kitchen

So, the informant claims that senior management of the company is separated from ordinary employees as much as possibleNo “general discussions“there was no need to recycle in the team – everyone was just put before a fact… Moreover, conditional “crunches“began much earlier – back in May 2019… Then the game allegedly just left the alpha version stage, and the directors came to the terrible realization that the project would need to be brought up to working order in just a year, creating individual elements virtually from scratch.

The insider explained that it’s normal for a studio to postpone critical goals until the last moment, and then try to cope with them within an incredibly rigid framework. When CD Projekt RED announced it would release Cyberpunk 2077 in April 2023, until December 2019, the management did not even consider the option of transferring – the game had to be completed on time. However, the downed production schedules ultimately led to the displacement of the premiere as much as two times. Moreover, the developers directly learned about the transfers, like all other users, from the official Twitter account… The management did not inform anyone about anything in advance.

With regard to compensation, here an anonymous source noted that they do exist, but their size varies from the position of the person in the company. Senior management gets huge payouts when, as regular developers are content with literally “pennies“. Because of this, a conflict of interest arises in the company – the management wants to release Cyberpunk 2077 to the market as quickly as possible, and people who give all their strength to the game hope to simply do their job without having to sit in the office for 16 hours, and then spend the night there.

Talking about the current state Cyberpunk 2077, the insider noted that everything is not too smooth here either. The game was literally pushed to release by force – that the master disc went to print, many developers in CD Projekt RED also did not know until the official announcement on Twitter. It is noted that now the game needs another 4-5 months of diligent production process, without this the resulting result can hardly be called “finished”… The informant also clarified that gamers most likely need to prepare in advance for the “huge” patch of the first day. At the same time, there are positive aspects – the technological foundation of the project was really a success, and the management no doubt that the game will be very warmly received by both journalists and ordinary users.

While all of the above does not have to be taken at face value, personality “insiderchecked personally Jason Schreierwho reported that the person who shared information is really directly related to CD Projekt RED

Themselves representatives of the Polish company have not given any comments yet.
