Claptrap will speak with the voice of Jack Black: Borderlands adaptation has been replenished with another famous actor

Company Lionsgate continues to replenish the cast of the film adaptation Borderlands… An actor, comedian and musician has officially joined the work on the upcoming film Jack Black (“King Kong”, “Jumanji”).

In the Borderlands film, Black will not star in person, but will voice the robot Claptrap (Piece of iron), who became one of the most recognizable characters in the franchise

“I’m thrilled to be reunited with Jack, but this time in the recording studio. Claptrap is the funniest character in the game, and Jack is perfect for bringing him to the big screen,” said director Eli Roth.

In a statement, the president of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Nathan Kaan noted that Black’s selection for the role was “one of the simplest decisions the studio has ever made.”

Staging a film from a script Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) directed by Eli Roth (“The Mystery of the House with a Clock”). Gearbox executive Randy Pitchford and Take-Two chief Strauss Zelnik will executive produce the adaptation.

In addition to Jack Black, the film also stars Cate blanchett (Lilith), Kevin Hart (soldier Roland) and Jamie Lee Curtis (Patricia Tannis).
