Bloomberg: Blizzard President Jay Allen Brack leaves studio

The president Blizzard Jay Allen Brack decided to leave the studio. This was reported by a journalist Bloomberg Jason Schreier with a link to the internal mailing list in the publisher Activision Blizzard.

Brak was a specialist in the creation of MMOs, and he worked at Blizzard since 2005. In 2018, the developer took over as president of the studio.

According to a statement from Activision Blizzard, Blizzard will be led by two people during the transition:

  • executive vice president of production Jen Onil – previously headed Vicarious visions;
  • Executive Vice President & CEO Platform & Technology Mike Ibarra – previously served as vice president Xbox

Activision Blizzard said Jay Allen Brack is leaving “in search of new opportunities.” However, it is possible that he could be blamed for the crisis in the studio associated with the culture of the “student fraternity”. Ibarra and Onil have not yet commented on their promotion.
