Astria Ascending, a new RPG from Final Fantasy VII writer and Vagrant Story composer, has been announced

On the pages of the latest issue of the game magazine Famitsu a new Japanese RPG game called Astria Ascending… The team is responsible for its production Artisan Studios… Western publisher will be Dear Villagers… List of platforms: Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox series x, Xbox series s, Xbox one, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam, EGS).

According to preliminary plans, the premiere Astria Ascending should take place in the second half of this year. Family consoles Xbox the game will be available on the service right on the day of release Game pass at no extra charge.

Over creation Astria Ascending a rather eminent team of authors is working. The music for the game is written by the composer Hitoshi Sakimoto (Vagrant Story, Final fantasy xii), and is responsible for the narrative Kazushige Nojima (Final fantasy vii, Final fantasy x, Final fantasy vii remake).

As for the gameplay, the developers Astria Ascending promise to adhere to the traditional canons of the Japanese RPG genre. The project will invite the audience to get acquainted with the unique stories of as many as eight characters, travel to vivid locations, a turn-based combat system with tactical elements, as well as a whole string of additional content, including all kinds of mini-games and activities.
