Arkham Knight with Denuvo – review

New version released Proton 5.0 to run Windows games under Linux. It is reported that in it the code base is synchronized with Wine 5.0, and also updated all components. But there are a number of important innovations.

Games using Direct3D 9 are now by default switched to the DXVK layer, which translates calls to the Vulkan API. This allows you to speed up the games and reduce the number of errors.

Integration with the Steam client has improved, which has expanded the range of supported games with Denuvo protection. From now on, games are launched there. Just cause 3, Batman: Arkham Knight and Abzu. Work has also begun on the full support of multi-monitor configurations.

Finally, the developers solved the problems that appear in games. Anno 1701, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, King’s bounty and The witcher. The source code for the new version is available on GitHub.
