Another loss for the creators of Dying Light 2: One of the studio’s veterans left Techland

It became known that after 22 years of work the Polish studio Techland left screenwriter and art director Pavel Selinger… The developer did not disclose the reasons for his decision.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the company that allowed me to develop and fulfill myself for half of my life. I will keep my fists for Techland and for the wonderful people I have met through teamwork. I would like to wish you Dying Light 2 and subsequent projects became world hits, “he wrote in a LinkedIn message.

Many sources after leaving Chris Avellone hastily named Selinger “Lead Writer” of the zombie action movie Dying light 2, but whether he really moved to this position is not known for certain. Either way, the developer was instrumental in shaping the early concept of Dying Light 2 and was probably in a key role, so his departure does not inspire confidence.

The last postponement of Dying Light 2 was announced last January.

In May 2023, Polish media named game development “a complete mess” but representatives of the studio immediately denied specified problems. Soon after, it happened scandalous suspension from work Avellone.

Recently representatives of the Techland studio promised that they will begin to actively talk about their game again in the near future.

Dying light 2 announced for release on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, and PS5. The game does not yet have a clear release window.
