Annapurna Interactive announces a “recursive puzzle” by Maquette – review

Publishing house Annapurna interactive announced another game – an adventure puzzle Maquette from young studio Graceful decay.

Maquette is described as a recursive puzzle in a world where any objects and objects can be both tiny and incredibly huge. Offset perspective allows you to make different objects compatible in size: we saw similar in Superliminal.

But the change in scale, depending on the point of view, the creators of the game do not regard as self-valuable mechanics, but as an occasion to tell a modern love story. They saw an analogy in real life: after all, often tiny problems turn into insurmountable obstacles, and the important is lost on the horizon.

Annapurna Interactive was founded three years ago, and during this time managed to make a name for itself with a number of unusual games: What Remains of Edith Finch, Gorogoa, Florence, Outer wilds, Telling lies, Sayonara wild hearts. A new project, Maquette, will be released on PC, but it is not yet known when.
