Almost 10 thousand cheaters were banned in Escape from Tarkov for a week – review

Executive Director Battlestate games Nikita Buyanov said that since the release of patch 12.6, which was released on May 28, in the shooter Escape from Tarkov banned almost 10 thousand cheaters.

Now developers are working on additional measures to combat cheaters on servers and on a complaints system, and are also considering the possibility of introducing two-factor authentication via SMS.

The authors note that the latest innovation will not reduce the number of cheaters to zero, but will make their life a little more complicated. According to Buyanov, players who are willing to pay $ 200 per cheat will also pay for a new SIM card, including a virtual one.

Also in Battlestate Games they want to tighten the ping limit from 180 ms to 150-160 ms. This will also help fight cheaters, especially from Asia, who use VPNs to play with players from other regions.

Finally, the developers noted that they banned not only cheaters, but also those who sell items and in-game currency for real money. Now the authors are planning additional measures against such merchants.
