Activision showed multiplayer Call of Duty Vanguard: All the details, gameplay and first look at the new Warzone map

Company Activision and developers Call of Duty: Vanguard held a full-fledged multiplayer presentation of the new shooter today. We have collected all the key information in one material

  • The multiplayer part, like the storyline campaign, is built on the Modern Warfare engine (2019);
  • There will be twenty one cards at the start. Sixteen of them are for classic multiplayer, four more for 2v2 Fire Contact and one for Contest of Champions;
  • During the stream, two maps were shown: Hotel Royal and Eagle’s Nest. Both will be available in beta in addition to the Red Star and Gavutu locations;
  • One of the new modes is called “Patrol”. The task of the players in it is to score points for their team, keeping an area on the map that is constantly moving;
  • Many classic modes will return, such as Team Deathmatch, Assassination Confirmed, Domination, and Seek and Destroy. All four, including Patrol and Contest of Champions, will be featured in beta;
  • A new battle rate system will appear. You can choose from “Tactical” (suitable for those who are used to the timing of battles in the classic parts of the series; always 6v6), “Assault” (balanced version; matches from 20 to 28 players) or “Blitz” (the highest intensity of battles and the number of players – from 28 to 48);
  • New clan system called “Groups” with elements from Modern Warfare platoons (2019). Clans will include individual progress, emblems, and Battle Pass rewards unlockable for all players in the group;
  • Multiplayer supports crossplay and cross-platform progression;
  • Weapon upgrades now offer up to ten slots for individual barrels, giving a huge number of combination options;
  • Interactive environment on the map. Individual thin walls, doors, windows, tiles, decorations, structures and other objects can be destroyed for tactical purposes;
  • The mechanics of focusing on objects when shooting from cover returns and will support two types of fire: aimed and blind;
  • Artist perks and weapon perks are back, with some of them affecting movement and shooting techniques. For example, the Lightweight perk will allow you to increase your speed, including through tactical sprint, while the Courage weapon perk, which is active when using an attached weapon, will allow the performer to fire this weapon during the sprint;
  • Field modifications will also appear. Dead Silence returns and its active time will be extended by earning kills;
  • Performers will receive an extended biography that provides insight into their history and goals, as well as expanded replica systems with more unique dialogues to better reveal their identity;
  • Raising the level of the performer will give access to new cosmetic items, skins, business cards, finishing blows and much more;
  • In addition to biography and tests, each performer will have their favorite weapon, for example, Polina Petrova has a three-line sniper rifle. The use of such weapons will provide additional experience;
  • During beta testing, players will be able to play as six artists, including Daniel Take Yatsu, Roland Selmet, Lucas Riggs, Wade Jackson, Arthur Kingsley and Polina Petrova.
