2D Pixel Art Remasters of First Final Fantasy Games Coming in July

Square enix within the framework of the exhibition E3 2023 announced pixelated 2D remasters of the first six games in the series Final Fantasy… In an already deleted new presentation, the company announced that the remasters will begin rolling out in July.

It is known that the updated versions will be released separately on iOS, Android and PC (Steam). The pixel art of the characters in all six games has been updated by an artist named Kazuko Shibuya, who has been working on the Final Fantasy series since the first installment.

As noted Gematsu, in a remote presentation, series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, composer Nobuo Uematsu and Yoshinori Kitase, FFVI, FFVII and FFVIII Development Lead and Part 7 Remake Producer, shared behind-the-scenes stories of Final Fantasy’s development.
